Welcome 2010 – A Free Wallpaper For Your Desktop & Iphone

I know its late for a New Year gift, but better late than never. This wallpaper is for all my readers who have always been supporting, motivating and encouraging me throughout the years.

This was created digitally using Fireworks and Photoshop and is something along the lines of the design of IndoFolio. I hope it will enrich your desktop. Its available for 1024×768 (standard) and 1280×800 (wide) resolutions. An Iphone version has been included as well.

The wallpaper is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 India License and mainly should not be used for print.

How to improve the page rank of your twitter profile page

As I mentioned in my previous post, a good page rank for your twitter profile means you are someone worth following.

Before reading further, I would suggest you to check the PR of your twitter profile page. Also try checking the PR’s of the giants. I’m glad to see Google Page Rank impacting the public social media profiles of services like twitter.

So what is Google looking for? Check out this quote from Marketing Professor.

What is Google Looking For?

* Credible inbound links from sources with credible inbound links
* Quality thematic content in their Twitter stream (jumping from dog training to affiliate marketing, to dieting in your twitter stream may get different results than sticking to one theme or topic of discussion… key phrases).
* Outbound links to credible sources.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they are also looking at social measures (retweets, locations, and @ replies).

The tips mentioned below are based on my experience, I would love to hear your suggestions (especially from SEO experts).

Twibies.com – The ultimate twitter resource for designers

Happy New Year friends! Being a freelancer gives me time to come up with more posts ;)

Before we dive into more details about Twibies, let me ask you something. Have you ever checked the page rank of your twitter profile? Well… I did recently and it turned out to be 5/10. I was really surprised to see this initially, but upon further research I figured out that my twitter background/theme was featured on many sites.
