Thanks for your interest in knowing more about me. I am Gopal, a freelance designer, blogger, entrepreneur and a MAC lover. I started my career as a Graphic Designer in 2002. Since then I have been working on various international projects and have worked with clients like Apple, Palm and Mozilla.

Career History

Vanilla Networks Pvt Ltd., Technopark. (2005 February – 2008 May)

Worked at Vanilla Networks Pvt. Ltd. (supportresort.com), Technopark, Trivandrum, a well established outsourcing provider for international clients around the world, as the Senior Team Leader of the Web Design Department. Responsible for Strategic Management, Task Management, Client Management, Quality Improvement, Staff Management etc. Reporting to the Managing Director, Vanilla Networks Pty Ltd, Australia.

• Leading a team of 50+ Web Designers.
• Responsible for all operational activities within the department, state-wide.
• Substantial role in senior management activities.
• Directly supervise all Team Leaders within the department.
• Responsible to supervise all staff within the department.
• Communicate with top management on behalf of the department.
• Drive forward the department by analyzing its performance, procedures, strengths and weaknesses etc and devising plans and strategies to improve the department’s performance.
• Devise relevant proposals and plans of action to top management and implement those plans and proposals once approved.
• Carry out or supervised tasks that have been explicitly assigned to the department and ensure that those tasks are completed in a thorough, systematic, professional and efficient manner.
• Identify training needs and coordinate the development of suitable training programs and materials.
• Arranging tests for designers on a regular basis as to evaluate their design skills and creativity.
• Involve in the quality control and quality review process.
• Involve in monitoring the quality levels of design work and suggest improvements to staff.

• Assist with the recruitment process by being involved in interviews.
• Ensure that staff within the department fully complies with copyright, licensing and other intellectual property laws.

Webyfy Infotech Pvt Ltd., Trivandrum. (2003 – 2005)

Worked at Webyfy Infotech Pvt Ltd., a dynamic, technology driven organization focusing on the development of applications to web-enable business processes, for 1.5 years, as a Graphic designer.
Designed User Interfaces for Webyfy’s Web applications.

• Worked alongside the developers to ensure that design and appearance are appropriate to the users.
• Developed Product presentations and demos
• Designed brochures and other print materials to promote Webyfy’s brand.
